This stone has a few cracksJul 20, 2008 Chinese jade: A picture is truly worth a thousand words. Here you have the thousand words--and not nearly enough pictures to show why the Chinese have revered this beautiful stone for thousands of years. The text itself is quite informative--especially when used to determine jade carvings of different periods. As a mini-textbook, it is very valuable. I truly wish I had enough collectible jades from these earlier periods so I could use this book to date them.

Nice pictures but not enough contentsJun 06, 2006 The paper and pictures of the book are quite nice. Unfortunately there is no enought material about jades. This book is not worth its price.
